UDP International is a global boutique planning and design firm with offices in Hong Kong, US and India. We are “Innovative by Design” and work to align development goals with stakeholder requirements and offer our award-winning design and planning services to create win-win solutions that unlock long-term environmental, social and economic sustainability.

UDP International was originally founded in California in 1993 by Dr. Sujata S. Govada to shape better cities through context-sensitive transit and pedestrian-oriented development. The Hong Kong Office was opened in 1994 and since then UDP International expanded its presence with representative offices in San Francisco, California and Hyderabad, India. We have worked on a diverse range of projects in Public Space and Waterfront Development; Transit and Pedestrian Oriented Development; Urban Integration and Infill Development; New Towns and New Development; Urban Regeneration and Heritage Conservation; Community and Sustainable Development; Residential and Affordable Housing; and Commercial and Mixed-Use Development. We have worked on projects of varying scales and different contexts including Hong Kong, China, the Philippines, US, India and beyond. Dr. Govada, the CEO and Managing Director, has been instrumental in our success, expansion, and delivery of innovative and sustainable solutions to our clients including the public sector, private sector, community, NGOs, institutions and other organisations.
